Last Spell [Metamagic feat]

When all the spellcaster's spells are exhausted, this feat can only then be used. The spellcaster may attempt to cast a spell he or she has casted since the last time he or she memorised/prepared/refreshed spells or spell slots.

Prerequisite: Must be able to cast spells.

Benefits: The spellcaster taps into his or her inner reserves to power the attempted spell. It requires one round to use this feat, and if sucessful, the spell may be cast on the next round.

The spellcaster must perform a combined concentration + spellcraft DC check of 20 + 2 times the level of the attempted spell (add ranks in concentration and spellcraft to pass DC check).

If the check passes, the spell is cast, and the spellcaster takes hit point damage equal to the spell's level, takes subdual damage equal to double the spell's level, and 1 point of temporary ability damage (Int for wizards, Wis for clerics, or Cha for sorcerers) for every 3 levels of the spell level.

If not successful, the spellcaster will take only the temporary ability damage mentioned above, and no spell can be cast.

This feat can be used unlimited times, provided the spellcaster has depleted all their spells.

Normal: If the spellcaster has exhausted his or her spells, then normally they must rest and prepare their spells again to cast more spells.
