KrotaksD&D 3e (3.0/3.5) Rulesby DamienKrotaks are special creations of the Aurak Draconians. They appear as normal sized eggs, though they are far less innocent. When thrown, a krotak will burst, spilling oil on the victim. Also within the small egg is a chemical mixture in a small, fragile, glass vile. When the egg shatters, the glass will as well, the resulting spilled chemicals will ignite the oil, resulting in the victim recieving 1d4 points of burning damage. The victim must then make a saving throw vs. paralyation or catch fire. If the saving throw fails, the victim will suffer 1d4 points of damage in the following round and the damage will increase by 1 die every round thereafter (2d4 the second round, 3d4 the third round and so on). Each round the victim may make a saving throw vs. death to extinguish the flames. Optional for DM: Rolling around on the ground, jumping into a lake or any similar action may grant the victim a +2 to +8 in their saving throw.
