Axe of SargasD&D 3e (3.0/3.5) Rulesby DamienDescription: The Axe of Sargas was found in the Age of Might somewhere outside of Kothas, leaning casually against a boulder. The exact origins of the axe are completely unknown, but when held aloft to reflect firelight, the axe glows blood red and some may be able to see the constellation of Sargas across the blades (hence the name given to the axe). The Axe of Sargas is a total of 4 feet in length, a mere double-edge battle axe and has a bejeweled, solid black haft with strange runic markings. Attributes: The Axe of Sargas can only be wielded by a Minotaur who is pure in his worship of and devotion to Sargas (this includes Priests of Sargas, who can wield the axe with no penalties; if your campaign places penalties upon priests when using bladed weapons). It functions as a +4 Battle Axe and contains the magical ability to quite literally deflect attacks born o fire, both magical and non-magical. If a magic-fire or normal fire attack is used against the wielder of the Axe of Sargas, he may make a Fortitude save (DC 14) to successfully block the attack with the face of the axe, thus taking no damage. If struck, the wielder will still only take half-damage as long as he/she still holds the axe.
