Lost SwordD&D 3e (3.0/3.5) Rulesby DamienDescription: The Lost Sword is a longsword of elven design. It was made by one of the finest metalworkers in Qualinesti during the Third Dragon War, for the brother of Sardal Crystalthorn. Sardal's brother died before recieving it and it disappeared - thus earning the name 'The Lost Sword', and after the death of Sardal Crystalthorn at the hands of Argaen Ravenshadow, the sword was recovered and brought back to Qualinost. Physically, the Lost Sword is a longsword with an elongated hilt that allows two-handed use if necessary and is a total of 43 inches in length. The grossguard and pommel are steel with runic engravings of silver. The pommel and the ends of the crossguard are shaped in the fashion of leaves. The blade glimmers like silver due to enchantments placed upon the sword during Sardal's possession of it. Attributes: The Lost Sword functions as a +2 keen longsword (or a +3 keen longsword if wielded in both hands). The sword will also do +3d8 damage against Goblins and Ogres. If damaged, the sword need only be taken and dipped into the water of the Kentommanai-Kath (the great river surrounding Qualinost) and it will then restore itself within 1d6 hours.
