Silvanesti Chainmail

D&D 3e (3.0/3.5) Rules

by Damien

Time Period: Any.

Description: Silvanesti Chainmail has a distinct difference than others form of chainmail. It is made of a lighter, tougher steel though it is also soft to the touch. The steel will always appear to be highly polished and will never tarnish, rust or dull, as well, it would take a master of arms to to find any true gaps in the armour, even upon close inspection. A tunic of Silvanesti Chainmail has full sleeves (to the wrists) and a length that falls to a few inches below the hips. The neckline, cuffs and hem of the chainmail is adorned with threading of silver to enhance the beauty of the armour.

Attributes: Silvanesti Chainmail has the weight and encumberance of leather armour plus a +2 deflection bonus and grants a +6 AC bonus. If a hit is scored on a character wearing Silvanesti Chainmail, they may make a Fortitude check (DC 12) to be uninjured by the strike due to the hardness of the chainmail. If a hit is scored with a blunt weapon against a character in Silvanesti Chainmail then the damage taken is halved.
