The Oath and the MeasureD&D 3e (3.0/3.5) Rulesby Trampas WhitemanThe Oath and the Measure [GENERAL]You have sworn the Oath Est Sularus Oth Mithas (My honor is my life) to the Knights of Solamnia, pledging your life to the ideals of the Measure. Prerequisite: Must be a Solamnic human before the War of the Lance, and a human (any) or half-elf afterwards. Must be Lawful-Good in alignment. Benefit: The Measure gives you an insight on how to uphold the Oath in any situation. You gain a +2 bonus to all Diplomacy and Knowledge (Nobility) checks. Special: Characters with this feat are considered to be squires if entering the Knighthood, or Solamnic Auxiliary if they are supporting the Knighthood. Author's Note: This feat was originally set to be used with the DLA3e (Dragonlance Adventures 3rd Edition) online product by the Dragonlance Nexus. Originally, it gave a "+2 bonus to Diplomacy checks in regards to the Oath and the Measure, and a +2 damage bonus while attacking from a charging mount". The intent was that this feat would allow anyone to become a Knight of Solamnia who met the prerequisites. This allowed characters to use base classes to represent the Knights of Solamnia, or they could take the prestige class. I have since revised this feat to fit in better with my expanding gaming materials.
