Tasslehoff Burrfootby Mark BoehnleinComposer's Description:This is my attempt to capture the innocent, fun-loving, and lighthearted mood of the most famous Kender, (next to maybe Uncle Trapspringer) Tasslehoff Burfoot. Be warned, its VERY different from the three previous pieces. This short piece does not describe a particular instant in the books, but I think it will paint a vivid, all to common picture of an average day in a city market, or any other place a Kender can find adventure. So I guess it could take place almost anywhere. I will let the music paint its own picture in your mind but here are some helpful hints. Put yourself behind Tas and follow him through your scene. Note the bouncing topknot portrayed by the low harp at the beginning. It is constant throughout the piece. The melody, played by the harpsichord and xylophone, depicts Tas's skipping feet as he meanders through his surroundings. Of course his hands are busier than his feet, and their curiosity and mischievousness are brought to life by the whirling piccolo in the background. This piece should make the listener feel so lighthearted and happy that he/she would want to puke. I don't hope for this sort of dramatic result but be that as it may, I hope you do enjoy it and find Tasslehoff Burrfoot's carefree, happy nature in the music and maybe his hand in your pocket!! Download 'Tasslehoff Burrfoot'The music on the Dragonlance Nexus is presented in the MIDI file format. You will need MIDI-capable software to listen to the selections in the Music & Songs section. We recommend either the QuickTime Player or the Windows Media Player. Fan RatingsThis item has been published here with permission from the author(s) and may not be reproduced without permission.
