Dragonspawn

During the Age of Mortals, the powerful blue overlord Khellendros, discovered the means by which he could create powerful minions, known as dragonspawn. This process involves an extremely powerful dragon (only the overlords are known to possess the power for this ritual) drawing a part of a draconian's life force and implanting it into a human captive. The human captive's spirit is destroyed and their body is altered. The human body transforms into a winged reptilian humanoid, immensely powerful and with the ability to utilise dragonbreath weapons. The spawn inherits the color and breath weapons of the dragon who created them. These fearsome beings stand at seven feet tall. Dragonspawn can procreate and their race is likely to increase in numbers, and enforce the draconian race even further.

Blue Dragonspawn

The blue dragonspawn were created by the great blue overlord Khellendros, through the use of his tears. The blues were the first spawn to walk upon Krynn and are able to use electromancy magic, as well as a lightning breath weapon. Blue spawn are cunning and one of the two most powerful types of spawn. On death they dissolve into a electric cloud. They live to serve the blue dragons, and more specifically Khellendros. Upon his death, it is unknown as to whom they will serve now.

Black Dragonspawn

The black dragonspawn are the creation of the black overlord Onysablet. Sable used her spittle in the magical ritual to form her spawn. Black spawn are less powerful than the reds or blues, but are more cunning in battle. Blacks can breathe a stream of acid, and use hydromancy magic. Upon death they melt into an acid shower. The blacks served their mistress Sable until her death, and now roam in the swampy regions of Ansalon.

Red Dragonspawn

The red dragonspawn were created by the red overlord Malystryx. Much like their creator, they are known as one of the most powerful types of spawn. Reds are brutish and strong, use pyromancy magic and can breathe fire. Red spawn were birthed in Malys' fire and die with an explosion of flaming oil. Live in the fire, die in the fire. With the death of Malys, it is unknown what will happen to the spawn. They continue to roam the Desolation, wreaking havoc for the present.

White Dragonspawn

White spawn are the creation of the white overlord Gellidus. White spawn are the weakest amongst their kind, much like their dragon-kin. They are formed from the quicksilver blood of the white dragon overlord. The whites use cryomancy magic and can breathe a blast of cold during battle. Upon death, they melt into a pool of salty water, which freezes anything in place for a short period of time. White spawn continue to serve Gellidus in the frigid realms of Ansalon.

Green Dragonspawn

Green dragonspawn are the servants of the fearsome green dragon overlord Beryllinthranox. Green spawn are notoriously cunning and devious, well-versed in enchantment spells, and able to breathe poison clouds at their foes. They were created from Beryl's chlorine and reside chiefly in forested areas. Green spawn explode into delirium-producing contact poison upon their demise. Their fate is still unknown with the demise of their creator.
